I am a Jungian analyst, imago relationship therapist, and licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice in Marin County.
I specialize in the practice of depth psychotherapy with individuals and couples. I may be able to help you if you experience:
- Psychological blocks to spiritual development;
- Problems concerning love, relationships, and sexuality;
- Depression and anxiety related to lack of meaning and purpose in the second half of life
(from age 35 on).
I also lecture and offer workshops to mental health professionals and the public on the relationship between love, depth psychology, and spirituality.
Psychotherapy that aims to change your life in deep ways is no “quick fix.” But positive changes occur when the relationship between a seasoned practitioner and a dedicated client works.
Your job is to say what you want, when you want to say it. Talk as honestly as you can about whatever is important to you, and keep connecting with the truth within yourself. If you like, tell me your dreams. My job is to listen (and keep listening) and offer you my feelings, ideas, and intuitions. Together we’ll bring to light the unconscious life-themes that work against you. To outgrow these stubborn patterns, we’ll access the wisdom of your body, mind, and spirit.
Depth psychotherapy is a spiritual endeavor as well as a psychological one. Our goal is to liberate your spirit (which wants to grow) from its prison cell (which we build out of fear). The journey might be hard work, but it can also be playful and humorous. In my practice most clients feel supported and unburdened. Gradually they feel more fully themselves. Their sense of freedom and personal power expands. Love and work seem richer and more fulfilling. Many people tell me they feel closer to the Sacred and that life is a precious gift.
